The first thing she did was scream ,so I punched her in the teeth

HoansiShe screamed. She screamed so loud it was so intoxicating and exhilarating. I could hear my heart beat, my pulse quickening, blood rushing away from my head to the rest of my body. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I’m regretting what I did to her. On the contrary I’m actually really proud of my handiwork.

I might have said this before, but this time I mean it, this one was special. So special when I think about her and what happened I still experience the same highs as when I was doing it. As I’m writing this, my heart is still pounding furiously in my ears. Before I bore you to death, let me get into the reason why I penned this letter to begin with.

The day began rather boringly. Like any other day. I didn’t have anything better to do, hence I spent the majority of the day in bed, sleeping. I woke up around six in the evening, decided to driver to town, and found myself craving Chicken slice so I went into a branch corner Chinhoyi Street and Mbuya Nehanda. I stood behind a really beautiful woman whose smell made me think of my mother.

Not that the perfume was the same, but they both wore way too much perfume. She was tall, but still shorter than me, curvy with ample thighs and the darkest most beautiful skin I have seen on a woman. The way she handled herself made me think she was sexy. Nowadays, you don’t see a lot of black women proud to be black the way she was. Anyway, she had on a short, tight blue dress that framed her just right, and made it hard for me to keep my head in the right place.

I said hie to her, she said it back with a smile that revealed a perfect set of pearls. We exchanged pleasantries as we waited for our food. By the time the food arrived, we were behaving like old friends, which made it easy for her to accept a ride from me to her place when I offered it to her.

We went home consuming out food and by the time I parked outside of her gate, my car had the after taste of a spice factory. She bid me farewell as she stepped out of my car.

Darkness had begun enveloping the earth, and the moment just felt right, so I exited my car, followed right in her footsteps, tapped on her shoulders and knocked her senseless when she turned with a smile I can still see so perfectly. She tried waking up, but I elbowed her in the nose, lifted her up and threw her in the back sit of my car.

I drove to my house, tapped her neatly to a chair in my bedroom then waited for her to open her eyes. That beautiful face was now covered with dried blood and had begun to swell, but for some reason, she remained so disgustingly beautiful to me.

She finally opened her eyes, and the first thing she did was scream , so I punched her in the teeth, her head knocked against the back of the chair as a tooth came flying out. As her mouth began to overflow with blood, tears streaked down her face as she began to beg for her life. Music to my ears, I said to myself as I looked straight into her eyes and only saw fear.

I took out a knife, waved it in front of her for a while, marveling at how her eyes were glued to the knife no matter how fast it went past her. I couldn’t help but smile. You know, people live such reckless lives, but something happens to them when they are about to die, and they know they are about to die. It’s something that I can’t explain, but it fuels me up, and feels with this energy I can’t explain. In that moment the power I feel can be equated to a god.

She followed the knife around for a couple of minutes, then looked at me as she began begging for her life again. I got up, with all that energy built up inside of me, I thrust the knife into her abdomen and watched as blood began to leak out of her, pain clouding her eyes and life slowly sipping out through her gently parted lips. I yanked the knife out and her whole body shook with trauma as blood sprayed out.

Blood flowed freely like a river as it soaked her dress wet and formed a puddle that became huge with each second. I was so excited in that moment, I thought I was about to have a heart attack. Her face on the other hand, had horror written all over it but she was no longer crying.

I could see she was fighting to live, even though her body was giving up. Just underneath that pain was the strongest will I have ever come across a person. What a waste. Someone that strong accepted free rides from people she had just met, no wonder the world was such a rotten place.

I’m pretty sure you want to know what happens next. Well, come to the address at the back of this letter and you just might find out.

Cynthia Mare flipped the letter, then quickly jotted the address in her notebook. Like the letter itself, the address had been typed. Her editor looked intently at her as she scribbled the address down. He cleared his throat, she looked up, and then he said,

‘’You really want to go and find out whether she’s dead or not? Do I have to reminder you that you are a reporter and not a police officer?”

“Nashe knows a couple of officers. I bet if I take her with me, we won’t go in naked.”

“Do you think this is based on a true story?”

“I’m about to find out.” Cynthia said as she scrambled to her feet.
