ASVDH Meets Japanese Diplomatic Delegation in Occupied El Aaiun

El Aaiun — The Saharawi Association for Victims of Gross Human Rights Violations Committed by the Moroccan State (ASVDH) met Thursday a delegation of 4 diplomats from the Japanese Embassy in Morocco, headed by First Counsellor Mr. Hidiki Ozono, said a source from the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.

The visit is the first of its kind to be made by officials from the Japanese Embassy to the occupied territories of Western Sahara in the aim to inquire about the situation of human rights.

On the same day, ASVDH also met officials from the French Embassy focusing on the latest developments on the situation of human rights in occupied Western Sahara.

The Saharawi association took the opportunity to express resentment over France’s position that opposes the extension of MINURSO prerogatives to monitor and report about Moroccan human rights violations.
