Mark Mwaka Kabalu, gospel music star dies

MARK Mwaka Kabalu, a popular gospel artist has passed away from health complications. The late Mark was part of the Gospel trio DMK comprising Davis Ingwee, Mark Kabalu and Kelvin Mwaba famous for songs like ‘Kalima Masaka’, ‘Worry Not’ and ‘Favour’.

The announcement was made on DMK Singers Facebook page;

“It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform you of the passing of our brother and friend Mark Kabalu. Mark passed on after a short illness and details of his funeral will soon be communicated.”

His friends and fans condoled with the family. Here are some of their tribute messages:

Moses Simpungwe,“ Mark Mwaka- (DMK), I tried calling you last week so that I extend an invitation from our Church for you to come with your friends to the Wall Builders Conference. I failed because of the network until I in boxed and we chatted and agreed that you will be our guests at this year’s conference. Today I have been told that you have passed way… life is vanity indeed. Go well Mark . I believe you have ran your race. Farewell to you beloved. Till we meet. RIP”
Changu Chilwesa, “My friend and brother …Gospel Artist Mark DMK has answered the irrevocable call of recall… Words fail. Our hearts are shattered.”
