The Namibia Economist on Sale for N$14 Million
Business newspaper The Namibia Economist is up for sale for N$14 million, majority owner and editor Daniel Steinmann confirmed yesterday.
“As of yesterday (Monday), the Economist is officially on the market. I am looking for a buyer,” he said.
According to its website, the paper has been published as The Namibia Economist since 1991 by the same proprietors.
The paper is published every Friday and has a print order of 7 000.
“Our ‘average’ reader is more often than not a male with a substantial income, lives in the city or bigger towns, is somewhere between 25 and 50, speaks Afrikaans, Oshiwambo, English or German and has a post-matric qualification,” according to the website.
