Zanele, 20, was found dead in her room at the University of Cape Town where she was studying for a degree in Political Science, International Relations and Gender Studies.

Jonathan Moyo’s daughter, Zanele might have taken her own life as she suffered from depression, family sources have revealed.

As the sad news filtered through Saturday afternoon, Moyo was quick to confirm the tragedy through his twitter account on which he wrote: “God’s people my angel daughter Zanele is no more.”

She was found dead her room in Cape Town. She was a student at the University of Cape Town reading for a degree in Political Science, International Relations and Gender Studies.

A post mortem and investigations are underway.
