Students Organize Peaceful Demonstration to Protest Moroccan Elections in Occupied Territories

The Students in the occupied city of Smara organized a peaceful demonstration Sunday in the neighborhoods of Tantan, Said Dambar and Asakani to condemn the holding of the Moroccan elections in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, according to the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.

The participants in the protest raised flags of the Saharawi Republic and chanted slogans such as calling for an independent Sahrawi state.

The demonstration was violently dispersed by the Moroccan forces of repression which proceeded to impose a siege on homes where there was presence of Sahrawis, said the same source.
