Terrorist Attacks in Ouagadougou – No Algerians Among Victims
No Algerian victims were reported among the victims of the attacks perpetuated Friday and Saturday in Ouagadougou, the Foreign Ministry announced in a statement.
“Following the terrorist attacks that targeted several locations in the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, the Foreign Ministry affirms that no Algerians were reported among the victims so far,” said the source.
The Crisis management center “is in permanent contact with the Embassy of Algeria to Ouagadougou to monitor the evolution of the situation there,” the statement added.
In another statement, the Algeria condemned in “the strongest terms” the terrorist attacks and expressed its solidarity with the families of the victims and the Burkinabe government and people.
The attacks killed at least 23 people from 18 nationalities, according to a toll released by Burkinabe authorities.
