President Bouteflika Conducts Cabinet Reshuffle: Algeria

Algiers — President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Thursday conducted a cabinet reshuffle, said a communiqué of the Presidency of the Republic.

“In conformity of the clauses of Article 79 of the Constitution and following consultation with the Premier, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, President of the Republic, Minister of National Defence has promulgated a presidential decree on the appointment of the members of the Government.

The new Government members are:

— Abdelmalek Sellal, Prime Minister.

– Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister for National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army

– Nouredine Bedoui, Minister of Interior and Local Authorities.

– Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

– Tayeb Louh, Minister of Justice

-Abderrahmane Benkhelfa, Minister of Finance.

– Abdelkader Messahel, Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs and International Cooperation.

– Abdessalem Bouchouareb, Minister of Industry and Mining.

– Salah Khebri, Minister of Energy.

– Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Mujahideen

– Mohamed Aïssa, Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs.

– Amara Benyounès, Minister of Trade.

– Amar Ghoul, Minister of National Planning, Tourism and Craft Industry.

– Abdelkader Kadi, minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

– Abdelouahab Nouri, Minister of Water Resources and Environment.

– Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City.

– Abdelkader Ouali, Minister of Public Works.

– Boudjema Talai, minister of Transports.

– Nouria Benghebrit, minister of National Education.

– Tahar Hadjar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research

– Mohamed Mebarki, Minister of Vocational Training and Education.

– Mohamed El Ghazi, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security.

– Azzedine Mihoubi, Minister of Culture.

– Mounia Meslem, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs.

– Tahar Khaoua, Minister of Relations with the Parliament.

– Abdelmalek Boudiaf, Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform.

-Abdelkader Khomri, Minister of Youth and Sports.

– Hamid Grine, Minister of Communication.

-Iman Houda Feraoun, Minister of Post and Information and Communication Technologies.

– Sid Ahmed Ferroukhi, Minister of Fishing and Fishery Resources.

– Hadji Baba Ammi, Deputy Minister to the Minister of Finance, in charge of Budget and Forecasting.

– Aïcha Tagabou, Deputy Minister to the Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry, in charge of Craft Industry.

Moreover, in accordance with Article 78 of the Constitution, “the President of the Republic has appointed Ahmed Noui, Minister Secretary General of the Government and Mustapha Karim Rahiel, minister, private principal secretary of the Prime Minister.
