Mali Nationals in Illegal Situation in Algeria

A budget of over DZD600 million have been allocated in two years to take care of Niger and Mali nationals, being in illegal situation in Algeria, said Tuesday Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs Mounia Meslem.

This budget allocated by Algeria through the National Solidarity Fund for the care of Niger and Mali nationals in illegal situation in Algeria exceeded DZD600 million during the period 2014-2015, Meslem said in an interview to APS.

Moreover, the budget allocated from 2011 to 2015 for the humanitarian care of the Syrian nationals is amounted to DZD 100 million, she added.

This support which is assumed on the ground by the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA), consists of providing those nationals with food, cloths, health care and transport means in the welcome centres, explained the minister.
