Another ISIS Terrorist Attack In Tunisia hotel Leaves At Least 27 Dead

Three separate attacks have caused chaos in Tunisia,Kuwait and France today as a gunman opened fire on a tourist beach hours after a man was decapitated in a French factory and a Suicide bomber killed atleast 10 people in a mosque in Kuwait during Friday prayers.

‘EMERGENCY MEETING’

Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy confirmed that one of the two hotels is owned by a Spanish company.Mr Rajoy said from Brussels that attacks in Tunisia and France were both acts of terror but did not provide more details.

Tunisian officials identified the hotel Mr Rajoy referred to as the Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba in the Port El Kantaoui neighbourhood of Sousse. It is owned by Spain’s RIU Hotels & Resorts, which has more than 100 hotels in 19 countries.

The company’s media office said RIU’s board of directors was holding an emergency meeting following the attack.

ARMED WITH KALASHNIKOVS’

Gunmen who stormed the private beach in Sousse, Tunisia, were ‘armed with Kalashnikovs’, with at least one of the gunmen disguised as a policeman.

RAN FOR THEIR LIVES

Elizabeth O’Brien, an Irish woman on holiday with her two sons in the resort, described how she grabbed her children and ran for their lives when they heard gunfire erupting from one of the hotels.

“We were on the beach, my sons were in the sea and I just got out of the sea. It was about 12 o’clock and I just looked up about 500 metres from me and I saw a (hot air) balloon collapse down, then rapid firing, then I saw two of the people who were going to go up in the balloon start to run towards me – because I thought it was fireworks,” the Dubliner told RTE Radio.

“So, I thought ‘oh my God, it sounds like gunfire’, so I just ran to the sea to my children and grabbed our things and as I was running towards the hotel, the waiters and the security on the beach started saying ‘run, run run!’ and we just ran to our room, which is like a little bungalow.

“So we are actually trapped in our room.”

DEATH TOLL

The Tunisian interior ministry has now announced that the Sousse death toll is 27. It is not known if the gunman is included in that number, or the nationalities of those killed

GUNMEN ON A BOAT:

A Russian tourist staying in a hotel metres from the beach where gunmen opened fire killing several tourists has described the ‘shocking’ scenes he witnessed in the immediate aftermath of the attack.

Petr Chervonec, a holidaymaker from Moscow, told Yahoo News UK he saw three dead bodies laying face down on a popular beach area in the resort of Sousse.

Spying the commotion from his hotel bedroom window immediately after the attack Mr Chervonec, a journalist by trade, rushed outside and followed hotel security men.

“I just saw that there was something wrong and security were rushing to the beach, so I followed.”I saw two women and one old man and they all appeared to be dead.”

Mr Chervonec said he was told by witnesses that a group of terrorists approached the shore on a boat and opened fire.
