Algeria, Lesotho to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Algiers — Algeria and Lesotho reiterated their willingness to strengthen the profound ties of friendship that characterize the relations between the two countries in order to build a “mutually beneficial” multifaceted cooperation, according to a joint statement released Thursday after the state visit paid by King of Lesotho lestie III, at the invitation of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

“This visit reflects the willingness of Algeria and Lesotho to enhance their bounds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation” and allowed to the two leaders to “review the status of cooperation in key areas and discuss ways and means to strengthen and diversify it,” the source added.

President Bouteflika and King Letsie III expressed their “commitment to enhance cooperation between the two countries, and instructed their respective Ministers or representatives to meet and discuss further the key areas of cooperation.”

“They encouraged the Businessmen of their respective countries to meet and explore the business potential available in each other’s country. Moreover, they emphasized the need to hold, as soon as possible, the second session of the Joint Commission of Cooperation,” the source stated.

Besides, “they reiterated their willingness to strengthen the profound ties of friendship that characterize the relations between the two countries in order to build a mutually beneficial cooperation, based on deep trust that governs the Joint Commission of cooperation,” the communiqué concluded.
