Outcry as Military takes over policing at Beitbridge Boarder Post

The stability & security of state institutions currently stand at severe threat after a series of reports have came out reviewing the apparent meddling of the government military forces in civilian policing matters across the country.

The tensions between the military forces & the police services seem to have culminated from post election series of events that have seen police officers reportedly accused of taking sides with opposition party leader Nelson Chamisa during a public protest that was consequently met with gross military outrage associated with the condemned live firing of unarmed citizenry. Reported 10 innocent citizens have since lost their lives from this unwarranted pursuit.

“Just received information that the Zimbabwe Military has taken over policing at the Beitbridge Border post”, reviewed Dewa Mavhinga of the Human Rights Watch Organisation.

These reports are seemingly in line with public utterances made by senior ZanuPf official Terence Mukupe who claimed the police services support Nelson Chamisa. Dewa Mavhinga also argued that ordinarily policing is for PoliceZimbabwe but some senior ZanuPF people like Terence Mukupe say police supports opposition leader Nelson Chamisa.

The Zimbabwe National Army has since distanced itself from any reports alleging any unwarranted deployment of military forces in civilian affairs & further urged the public not to hesitate reporting any of such masquerades to the police.
