Children Take To The Runway At China Fashion Week
Watch out,There’s some new fashionistas vying to be queen of the catwalk and they’re giving the catwalk stalwarts a run for their money.
A host of children took to the runway at China Fashion Week and proved they could hold their own against the more seasoned models.
Dressed in stylish outfits and showing some serious sass, the children helped showcase the ILOVECHOC Wei Chao
Collection and the M.latin range during the Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week in Beijing, China.
One youngster, who rocked a blunt fringe, seemed to be getting into the role as she strutted down the catwalk.
Once she had reached the end of the runway, she put her hand on her hip to strike a dramatic pose.
Another youngster wearing a black and white polkadot dress showed off her pout as she stormed the runway and another posed with one hand on her hat as she walked the runway.
Elsewhere, a little lady in a blue tulle skirt and bunny emblazoned jumper posed with her hand on her chin and a young boy showed off his best blue steel gaze with his hands in his pockets.
The children closed the show by walking the runway donning identical outfits the girls wore red tutus and jumpers, and the boys pinstriped trousers and jumpers.
ILOVECHOC, which was established in 2009, is hugely popular among celebrities and fashionistas in China thanks to its vibrant and whimsical style.
Speaking to cntvna about setting up the brand, Wei said: ‘I created ILOVECHOC, because my daughter was studying in elementary school, and I wanted to build a brand that focuses on clothing for youngsters in China that also possess the essence of fashion street style.’
China Fashion Week runs from 25 October to 02 November.This isn’t the first time that children have starred on the runway. In fact, London hosted its very own Kid’s Fashion Week in 2013.
Designers showing include the likes of luxury labels Paul Smith Junior, Junior Gaultier, Chloe, Little Marc Jacobs, I Pinco Pallino, Suzanne Ermann, Anne Kurris, Supertrash.
