Central African Republic Defence Minister Thanks Angola Support

The Defence minister of the Central African Republic (CAR), Marie Noel Kuoyara, Friday in Luanda, thanked the Angolan State support to her country to achieve political stability.

Speaking to the press at the end of a meeting with his Angolan counterpart, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, the visiting official said that RCA and Angola are sister countries and it was noticed during the period of crisis in her country, where Angola helped.

She said that her country has a lot to learn from Angola, because this State also had its difficult moments but knew how to overcome them and register visible progress.

Marie Noel Kuoyara said that thanks to the support of the international community, particularly the Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos, that enabled her country to organize a national forum for the Central Africans to follow the paths of peace.

“We are just in a process of peace and we ask God that it may prevail to lead the country to development,” concluded the Central African minister.

The Defense minister of the Central African Republic made a stopover in Luanda, after attending a conference on peace and security in the United Nations (UN) headquarters.
