Jaguar takes evolutionary approach with the 2015 Jaguar XF
Experience the luxury of heated bond grain leather front seats with six-way power adjustment for driver and front passenger. There’s also a memory function with two settings for the driver’s seat, auto-dimming exterior mirrors and steering wheel that enhance the styling on this sport sedan. Refinement and style continue throughout the cabin thanks to Knurled Aluminum trim matched with Satin Rosewood veneer, and fine details such as a bond grain leather upper fascia.
The base 2015 Jaguar XF 2.0T Premium is delivered with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and test drivers think it provides adequate acceleration, nonetheless they point out that other four-cylinder top range cars are faster. With a stronger acceleration and only slightly lower fuel economy the optional supercharged V6 are a better choice.
The top-of-the-line XF 5.0 Supercharged, XFR and XFR-S trims get a supercharged V8, and auto writers report that this engine is extremely powerful. The base 2015 XF receives an EPA-estimated 19/30 mpg city/highway, which is slightly below average for a four-cylinder top range car. Many who have driven the car say the XF has a smooth ride and very sharp handling. Furthermore, some have also noted that its steering system is precise, though some think it feels more on the light side.
Critics have pointed out that, the 2015 Jaguar XF’s interior is distinguished by top-quality materials and a stylish design. A number of automotive journalists have gone on to say that the XF’s front seats are spacious; however its back seats have limited headroom. The XF comes with a 17.7 cubic feet of trunk space, which is big for the class, though some test drivers have noted that the trunk has a rather small opening.
Many of interior features that were optional in 2014 are standard features this year, this includes a 12-speaker Meridian audio system, front parking sensors, HD Radio, navigation, blind spot monitoring, a rearview camera and satellite radio. The XF also comes with standard features such as heated front seats, Bluetooth, an infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen, leather upholstery, push-button start, rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, a moon roof and a USB port.
More available features include adaptive cruise control, ventilated front seats and a 17-speaker Meridian audio system. Some reviewers have complained that the XF’s infotainment system has a small touch screen that has a slow reaction to user input and furthermore it requires you to go through numerous menus to alter simple climate, audio and navigation settings.
Do jaguars even have naturally aspirated engines anymore? 3.0L Supercharged V6s and 5.0L Supercharged V8s. Great Review.
I used to be a fan of the S-type but it has lost its beauty over the years unlike the xj. I see the new Jaguar retaining its beauty for many years to come. This is really a nice car no matter what some may say, it really looks good and deserves a spot in the hall of fame of cars.
What, the jaguar is just a high end PC case?
Beautiful car, love your reviews, keep them coming, can you do a jaguar XJR review?
NO match for a XF 5.0 V8 285 HP and XF 5.0 v8 Supercharge 470 Horsepower. Driving 3.0 v6 NOT feels as driving a 5.0 V8.
